LEARNING SYSTEM FOR CLASS ROOM ENGAGEMENT BASED ON GAMIFICATION AND MACHINE LEARNING APPROACH









Abstract

The lack of self-motivation and irregular engagement is one of the prime challenges faced by educators today. Technology has strengthened the scope and span of the teaching and learning process, but somehow it is difficult to increase the self-motivation and engagement among the students at the same rate. As an outcome, better participation of a group of students under the proposed intelligent gamified system is reported compared to the traditional system, thus acknowledging the model's success. The intelligent framework proposed here is used globally for user engagement and is termed gamification. To enhance the utility of the gamified framework, smart decision-making concerning rewards distribution is directly proportional to the number of coins gained by the students. Random Forest Classifier is used to predict student performance which acknowledges the success of the model.
