DESIGN OF AUTOMATED CONVEYOR BELT TO IDENTIFY THE QUALITY OF GUAVA FRUITS AND SORT THEM USING IOT, IMAGE PROCESSING AND CONTROL AUTOMATION









Abstract

In modern society, large scale task completion has become a big problem. Products’ grading is a vital procedure for farmers. Even though sorting can be done by human, it has many disadvantages, hence there is need to evolve smart Guava sorting system. Grading of Guava is a very necessary operation as it helps in getting high price to farmer and improves packaging, handling and affect positively on overall marketing system. The fruits are generally graded on basis of size, colour and other damages [2]. Also graded fruits has more demand in export market. Grading could reduce losses like transportation. Most of the conventional Guava sorting systems employ mechanical weigh scale for grading. This study results in more accuracy and speed by using Image Processing and control automation. In addition to that, the data which is sent on cloud will be useful for production analysis and can be accessed remotely.
