IOT BASED SMART HELMET SYSTEM FOR ACCIDENT DETECTION









Abstract

The impact once a motorcyclist is involved during a high speed accident while not wearing a helmet is incredibly dangerous and may cause fatality. Wearing a helmet will reduce shock from the impact and may save a life. A Force Sensing Resistor (FSR), Gas sensor and Mems sensor area unit used for the detection of accident, rider's alcohol consumption and detects abrupt changes in the X,Y and Z axes(angle of the rider) respectively. This project reports a technique for reducing the road accidents occurred due to not wearing helmet and drunken driving. The bike won't start if the rider isn't wearing the helmet and it doesn’t start if the ride consumes alcohol. All of the sensor value will be send to the Microcontroller. The microcontroller processes the information and send the details to the required mobile phone with the help of internet of things technology.
